Finn Luu's journey in table tennis began at a young age, inspired by his father's passion for the sport. Training initially at the Loops Table Tennis Club in Melbourne, he quickly grew to love the game. By 2013, he was already making waves in the junior circuit, winning most of his matches at the NSW Junior Open. His talent and dedication saw him representing Australia in numerous international competitions, including five World Junior Championships.
2019 was a breakout year for Finn. He secured the Australian National Junior Championships title with an impressive streak of victories and clinched gold at the Oceania Junior and Cadets Championship in Tonga. His success continued to build momentum, highlighted by a bronze medal at the Czech Open in 2020, which set the stage for his debut in the youth world table tennis scene in 2021.
In 2022, Finn's career soared to new heights. He tasted victory in the Oceania Table Tennis Championships both in junior and men's doubles events alongside his partner Nicholas Lum. This year also marked his debut at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where he made a notable impact, reaching the bronze medal play-off in men's doubles and the quarter-finals in mixed doubles.
