Biography
Brock Batty, hailing from Frankston, Victoria, discovered his passion for trampoline gymnastics at the tender age of nine. Fascinated by the adrenaline rush and the thrill of jumping on his backyard trampoline, his enthusiasm led his mother to enroll him at Cheltenham Youth Club (CYC). Brock's dedication and natural talent quickly became evident as he progressed rapidly, mastering new skills and soaring higher with each jump.
Within two years, Brock had already made his mark by clinching two Australian titles and earning spots at international competitions. His debut was at the 2018 World Age Championships in Russia, where he began to make waves. By 2019, he had secured more national titles and earned a bronze medal at the World Age Championships in Japan, followed by another bronze in the 2022 World Age Group Championships in Bulgaria.
Brock's breakthrough year came in 2023 when he dominated the Trampoline World Age Group Championships in Birmingham. Not only did he shine individually, but he also secured a win in the synchronized event with his close friend, Nicolas Diaz Ballas. Their collaboration was a testament to their synergy and perseverance, and their motto “third time’s a charm” truly paid off.
The pinnacle of his budding career came in 2024 at the Australian Championships on the Gold Coast. Here, Brock outperformed the seasoned champion Shaun Swadling to win his first senior title, cementing his place in the Australian Olympic team for Paris 2024. Brock's journey is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and unyielding love for the exhilarating world of trampoline gymnastics.
