Biography
Angus Lambie, hailing from the Sutherland Shire, found his calling in water polo at the age of 11, drawn to the team spirit of the sport. As a member of the elite athlete program at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), he played for the Wests Magpies in the Australian Water Polo League (AWPL), securing league titles in 2017 and 2019. Angus made his debut for the Aussie Sharks in 2019, further adding to his collection of victories with AWPL titles in 2022 and 2023. His international breakthrough came in 2023 at the World Aquatics Cup, followed by a significant performance at the World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan. Despite an injury setback the previous year, this moment became his career highlight, symbolizing resilience and determination. The 2023-24 season saw Angus joining VK Primorac Kotor in Montenegro, competing in prestigious competitions like the LEN Champions League and Euro Cup. Marking another milestone, Angus played every game at the Doha 2024 World Aquatics Championships. Now, he's eagerly set to make his Olympic debut in Paris 2024, embodying the spirit of a true athlete.
