Run entirely by volunteers, the club is led by a committee, with dedicated individuals maintaining the clubhouse, green, and grounds. Our President, Cathy Clark, is well-known throughout the county and Bowls England, and even volunteered at the Commonwealth Games. If you are new to lawn bowls and find yourself confused by the language and slang used, don't worry. Our club provides resources to help you learn the terms, rules, and laws of the game. We have designed a leaflet that serves as a useful starting point for beginners. You can download it from our website and get a taste of what lawn bowls has to offer.
Competing with the best is one of the highlights of our club. As the weather permits, our green opens around the end of April and remains open until the middle of September. Members have the opportunity to compete for titles and participate in interclub friendly matches in Buckinghamshire. Our member, Andrew, organises some of these matches and competitions.
We also take part in an interclub league across Mid-Buckinghamshire. Additionally, some of our members enter county-wide competitions in various formats. If you'd like to try the game and meet other players, we have roll-up sessions where players of all abilities can join and play against each other in scratch teams.
