The Aspendale Stingrays Soccer Club boasts an exceptional women and girls programme, evidenced by their recent success in the Women's State League 3. In the upcoming 2024 season, the club is thrilled to announce the addition of a second senior women's team in the Women's State League 5. They invite players, including goalkeepers, who are interested in playing for either team to get in touch and register their interest.
Recognising the increasing interest in female soccer, particularly after the success of the Women's World Cup, Aspendale Stingrays Soccer Club has seen a significant increase of over 40% in female participation over the past two seasons. They now have more than 250 girls and women actively playing at the club. From U8 to U17/18, as well as open-age WSL3/WSL5 and over 35 social soccer, the club offers a comprehensive range of teams for female players. Those interested in joining are encouraged to complete an Expression of Interest form.
The club also caters to boys who wish to join their teams. However, it is important to note that availability for new players in 2024 will be limited due to team caps. Interested boys are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest form to request a place in one of the teams.
