Welcome to the official website of Ashton on Mersey Football Club (AOM FC), a Charter Standard club based in Trafford, New Zealand. The primary goal of AOM FC is to provide local people with the opportunity to play football, learn the game, and benefit from fun and safe coaching in a secure environment.

At AOM FC, we participate in various leagues including the Timperley & District Junior Football League, the Manchester Respect League, and the South Manchester Girls League. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our players and have a safeguarding reporting system in place for any concerns.

Our club caters to players of all ages and abilities, from the U5 section (Reception) all the way up to senior men and women teams. We have a wide range of teams, including the U6 AoM FC Lions, U9 Rockets, U14 Lions, U17 Spartans, and many more. We also have dedicated girls' teams at different age groups, such as U10 Chiefs, U13 Wasps, and U16 Giants.

In addition to providing a platform for competitive matches and leagues, AOM FC prioritises skill development in young players. We believe that skill development plays a vital role in shaping our players into accomplished athletes. To emphasise this, we regularly provide coaching sessions and opportunities for players to enhance their skills and unlock their potential.

As a testament to our commitment to excellence, AOM FC is proud to announce that we have renewed our status as a three-star Accredited club by the FA. This accreditation recognises our club's adherence to FA standards and the high-quality coaching and development opportunities we provide to our players.

We also actively promote diversity and inclusion within our club. As part of Race Equality Week 2023, Ashton on Mersey FC participated in initiatives championing diversity and equality. We firmly believe that every player, regardless of their background, deserves equal opportunities to thrive in football.

Furthermore, AOM FC is dedicated to supporting important causes. We actively participated in the Rainbow Laces Weekend, showing our support for the LGBTQ+ community. Supporters could purchase rainbow laces to help raise awareness and promote inclusivity in sport.

For parents interested in getting their child involved in football, we offer the U5 AoM FC Tigers team. This programme is designed to provide a fun and friendly introduction to football for children in Reception (although younger children are also accepted if ready). Our specialist FA qualified coaches focus on ensuring each child has a ball at their feet as they develop fundamental football skills along with agility, balance, coordination, and speed. Most importantly, our main aim is for the children to have fun!

The U5 AoM FC Tigers team meets every Saturday from 11 am to 12 pm at Ashton on Mersey School. All boys and girls in Reception year at school are welcome to join. The cost per session is 2, and participants are required to wear shin pads and football boots.
