Her dedication and passion for the practise led her to Mysore, India, where she studied under the guidance of Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson, Sharath.
In 2001, Grenfell was authorised to teach the Mysore-style method, and in 2012 she received her Advanced Certificate from Sharathji. She is one of only a few women in the world to hold this prestigious certification.
