Step into the world of Ashfield Football & Athletic Club, one of the most historic Scottish Junior Football Clubs in the UK. Founded in 1886, Ashfield has the unique honour of being the first Junior Team to secure 100 Trophies.
Years of football history were made at Saracen Park in Glasgow, where a stand set Ashfield apart from other Junior clubs. Fast forward to December 2022, and the team moved to the modern Stepford Football Centre at 1514 Edinburgh Road, Glasgow G33 4NU.
Behind Ashfield's success is its strong team, passionately backed by Allied Vehicles Ltd. The club's operations are led by Thomas Robertson, the Club President, Chairperson and Treasurer Paul Maxwell, and Club Secretary Jim Broadfoot. Supporting them are Matchday Treasurer and Website Manager Ewan Murray, coaches Iain Grey, Kieran Dougan, and Cammy Gordon, Physio Sharon Knox, and Social Media Manager Andrew Sim. Kitman Kevin Gilchrist and committee members Paul Shevlin, Kevin Gilchrist, Ewan Murray, and David Chalmers ensure everything runs smoothly.
With a rich trophy cabinet boasting titles like multiple Scottish Junior Cup wins and Central Junior Football League Championships, Ashfield's legacy is undeniable. Recent triumphs include the West SuperLeague First Division in 2010-2011 and the Glasgow Junior Cup in various seasons.
Ashfield’s current management team, led by Manager Michael Oliver and Assistant Jamie Broadfoot, is committed to building on this legacy. Coaches Iain Grey, Kieran Dougan, and Goalkeeper Coach Cammy Gordon, along with trusted physiotherapist Sharon Knox, are dedicated to honing player skills and ensuring top physical condition.
