Arts Umbrella

Arts Umbrella is a renowned arts organization based in Vancouver, providing a creative haven for young artists aged 222 to explore Dance, Theatre, and Art & Design. As a non-profit centre for arts education, Arts Umbrella believes in the transformative power of art in shaping young lives. Through engaging with the arts, students build self-confidence, acquire self-discipline, and unleash their creative potential, qualities that stay with them for a lifetime.

With three locations in Vancouver and Surrey, Arts Umbrella offers donor-funded programs in schools, community centres, neighbourhood houses, and healthcare facilities across Metro Vancouver, reaching approximately 20,000 students annually, with nearly 75% participating at little to no cost. The organization hosts various events such as the Sunday Performance Series featuring works-in-progress by the Arts Umbrella Dance Company and other special guest artists, as well as the Midseason showcase of innovative works by leading choreographers.

Arts Umbrella also provides enriching workshops like the Pro-D Day Stagecraft workshop series on video projection and media design, catering to aspiring theatre and film technicians.
