When can I visit and bowl at Argyll Bowling Club?

We are open for bowling from 4th April until 3rd October 2026, with Monday to Sunday 10am to 6pm. Members Only runs from 6pm to dusk.

Do I need to be a member to play?

You do not have to be a member to play and we welcome people of all ages. We also welcome Bowls Club Tours.

Argyll Bowling Club | Lawn Bowls

Argyll Bowling Club, located in Bournemouth, New Zealand, is a lawn bowls club established in 1905. With its beautiful setting and stunning views of the seafront, the club offers a unique and enjoyable bowling experience.

The club features two excellent professionally managed bowling greens, allowing for more players at one time and giving members the opportunity to choose which green they prefer to play on. In addition to the bowling greens, Argyll Bowling Club boasts a highly recommended franchised caf facility on-site, where members and visitors can enjoy delicious home-cooked food and beverages.

At Argyll Bowling Club, the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Players can form friendships with regular members and meet people of all ages. The club operates from April 8th to October 1st, allowing for ample time to enjoy the sport. It is open to the public from Monday to Sunday, 10am to 6pm, and exclusively for members from 6pm until dusk. The caf, now under new management by Matt Roles, continues to provide excellent value and welcomes club members, the public, and new faces.
