The Appaloosas & Australian Spotted Ponies Inc. Adult Riding Club Competition is an exciting event hosted by the Horse Riding Club in Duns Creek. This competition aims to celebrate the accomplishments of our club members who ride Appaloosas or Australian Spotted Ponies. It's an event you don't want to miss!
To participate in this competition, individuals must first register their Appaloosa or Australian Spotted Pony with A&ASP Inc. and ensure that they are current financial members. The best part? There's no entry fee! It's completely free to join.
Earning points in the Adult Riding Club competition is simple. All participants need to do is ride their beloved Appaloosa or Australian Spotted Pony at any Adult Riding Club rally or competition. Just by attending, participants will receive points, and additional points will be awarded for placings in various events.
Getting started is easy too. Participants can download the entry forms from the Forms & Fees page on our website. Simply fill out the required information and bring the sheets with you to all rallies and competitions you attend. An official will be there to sign the sheets on the day of the event.
The competition runs from July 1st to June 30th each year, and at the end of this period, participants need to return the completed forms to A&ASP Inc. Points will be calculated based on attendance and placings, and exciting prizes will be awarded at our Annual General Meeting in August.
The competition is divided into two sections. The first section includes a variety of events such as ARC rallies, dressage, show jumping, horse trials, combined training days, and hicksteads. The second section features special events like novelties, games, and navigation rides.
To ensure fair competition, the Adult Riding Club Competition is further divided by breed. There are two breed divisions: Appaloosa and Australian Spotted Pony. Certificates will be awarded up to sixth place in each breed division for each section, as well as overall. The overall winner, the entrant with the most points, will receive a fantastic cash prize of $100!
