Ashton on Mersey Football Club (AoM FC) Tigers, also known as Ashton Tigers, offers a fantastic opportunity for children in Reception year to have a blast while learning football skills. Led by expert FA qualified coaches, the sessions focus on developing fundamental football skills, agility, balance, coordination, and speed. Most importantly, every child gets their own ball to ensure maximum involvement and enjoyment.
Ashton Tigers has been instrumental in nurturing young talents and helping them progress to become full members of the ever-growing Ashton on Mersey FC, the fastest growing club in Trafford. Over the past decade, this program has turned hundreds of young players into confident and skilled footballers.
You can find Ashton Tigers sessions every Saturday from 11am to 12pm at Ashton on Mersey School, which is conveniently located on Cecil Avenue in Sale. This program is open to both boys and girls in Reception year at school, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. The cost per session is just £2, making it an affordable option for parents.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, participants are required to bring their own equipment, including shin pads and football boots. We believe safety should always come first, so please make sure your child is well-equipped. No registration is necessary, simply bring your child along, and they can start playing and having fun right away!
In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, such as rain or snow, the session may be relocated indoors to Ashton on Mersey School Sports Hall, just off Cecil Avenue. This ensures that even unpredictable weather won't dampen the fun and excitement. So rest assured, we've got your child covered!
