Annie Grant Yoga is a renowned yoga studio located in the picturesque village of Stillington in North Yorkshire. The studio is owned and operated by Annie Grant, an experienced and highly-trained yoga instructor. Annie began her yoga journey in 2001 and became fully immersed in the practise after completing an Ashtanga teacher training in Cape Town in 2009. Since then, she has studied with renowned teachers from various styles of yoga, including Ashtanga, Vinyasa flow, and Anusara yoga.
However, Vinyasa flow has always remained her main focus and passion.
Annie has an impressive teaching background, having taught in various settings such as Yoga West, Yoga At, and even working with corporate clients, spas, and celebrities. She was also a yoga teacher at prestigious locations like One Hyde Park in Knightsbridge, Academy Gardens, and 199 Knightsbridge. Annie has also worked with high-profile Personal Trainers to provide yoga to their clients and even worked for West Ham Football Club. Now, she is based in the serene village of Stillington and offers both private lessons and group classes in the village hall.
Annie's Vinyasa Yoga Classes are a fusion of various yoga styles, creating a unique and dynamic practise that heals and detoxifies both the body and mind. Her classes are known for being challenging yet playful, carefully structured while allowing room for creativity. Each class incorporates movements, strength, flexibility, breathwork, alignment, and technique. Annie creates a joyful space for her students to explore their bodies and minds, using the breath as a guide.
The classes are accompanied by an atmospheric and uplifting playlist.
The studio offers weekly yoga classes at Stillington Village Hall on Mondays at 6:30pm. The classes run during term time only, and drop-in prices are 12, while upfront 5/6 week courses are available for 10. Annie also offers private yoga sessions, tailoring the practise to fit the specific needs and requirements of each individual client. These sessions include pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation if requested.
Starting from 7th March, Annie will be leading a new Vinyasa yoga class on Tuesdays at 9:45am at Hutton Wandesley Estate. This creative and uplifting slow flow class is open to all levels and provides moments to be challenged, try something new, and find deep relaxation. The class takes place at the beautiful stables block at Hutton Wandersly Estate, and participants are recommended to bring their own mats, blocks, and straps.
Annie Grant Yoga not only offers regular yoga classes but also organises Detox & Yoga Retreats.
