Amanda Rico Yoga is a well-known yoga instructor in Haliburton, known for her expertise in biomechanics, body movement, and the science of yoga. Amanda holds an E-RYT550 certification with the Canadian Yoga Alliance and is also a Yoga Medicine Teacher, as well as a Kettlebell and Steel Mace Coach. Her teaching style is clear and direct, focusing on alignment and anatomy to create a balance between effort and ease in each practice. She is passionate about integrating strength and stability into yoga practice, incorporating loaded asana with the Steel Mace and Kettlebells, as well as movement systems, High-Intensity Interval Training, and Flow State Training.
In addition to her yoga expertise, Amanda is also a vibrant community member, educator, entrepreneur, podcaster, world traveler, Death Doula, and Grief Companion. She completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica and is known for her Rest & Restore classes at Harmony Yoga Haliburton. Amanda brings a diverse range of energy healing modalities to her teaching, providing a holistic approach to healing and wellness.
Joining Amanda at Harmony Yoga Haliburton is Diana Flumian, a 500-hour certified yoga teacher with over 15 years of yoga practice experience. Diana's teaching philosophy focuses on balancing the energies of mind, body, and spirit through manifestation, intention, breathwork, postures, movement, and meditation. With a light and fun approach to classes, Diana helps students notice how their bodies respond and provides thorough instruction for optimal energy flow. Her goal is to help students move with ease well into their golden years, cherishing the gift of life through balanced movement and mind-body-spirit connection.
