Looking to up your chess game? Come join Sarah and the gang at Alwoodley Chess Club! Every Wednesday evening at 7pm at the Alwoodley Community Centre in Leeds, they gather for some serious board action. Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned pro, everyone’s welcome!

Sarah’s crew isn't just about tough competition, though they've got that in spades. They’ve got teams in the Leeds leagues and even a couple in the Yorkshire League—lots of chances to flex those chess muscles! But it’s not all about winning: they’ve got a great social side too. Expect some fun internal competitions, and don’t miss their Summer Fuddle and Christmas Fuddle—food, chat, and loads of chess fun!

Their member list is growing, especially with the chess buzz from shows like “The Queen's Gambit.” Sarah makes sure everyone feels at home, whether you’re in it for the glory or just want to have a good time playing chess.
