Starting at the foot of Aoraki Mount Cook, you’ll kick off with jaw-dropping views of the peaks and glaciers. You’ll then cruise through scenic farmland, cross some rivers, and head into Twizel. Grab a coffee here; the cafés are worth it!
Next up, you’ll ride along the stunning turquoise Lake Pukaki and move towards Lake Ohau, where you’ll catch some amazing birdlife, including black swans. Don’t forget to soak in the vibes at Omarama with its cool hot pools and gliding activities.
As you pedal on, you’ll hit Kurow - think local wineries and top-notch wines. Rock formations in the Waitaki Valley are a must-see too, formed by years of geological magic.
The final leg brings you to the coastal town of Oamaru. Explore the Victorian architecture, check out the blue and yellow-eyed penguins, or simply chill at a cosy café.
