The local skateboarding club in Albury, Albury Skate Park, is excited to announce the upcoming opening of the new Albury Regional Skate Park on David Street. This state-of-the-art facility is set to establish Albury as a top-notch destination for skaters and riders alike.
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the skate park users, the community, and skate park design specialists, PLAYCE, this project has been a true labour of love. With the support of the NSW Government through the Stronger Country Communities Fund, Albury Skate Park has received a generous contribution of $636,511 towards making this dream a reality.
Although the construction is currently underway and the skate park is temporarily closed, fear not, fellow skaters! You can still enjoy other skate facilities in the area while eagerly awaiting the completion of this fantastic project. From concrete ramps to parkour areas, this skate park will offer something for everyone.
Precision Skate Parks Pty Ltd has been entrusted with the construction of this skateboarding haven. They've been hard at work, meticulously designing and sourcing the necessary materials to ensure that the Albury Regional Skate Park meets the highest standards.
Mark your calendars for the official opening on 11 December 2021. Skaters and riders from far and wide are expected to flock to Albury to be part of this momentous event. Get ready to showcase your skills, make new friends, and experience the thrill of this incredible facility.
So, whether you're an avid skater or a BMX enthusiast, make sure to join us at Albury Skate Park on 11 December and be part of history in the making. Let's celebrate the growth and development of skateboarding in our region and put Albury firmly on the map as a premier destination for all things skateboarding. See you there!
