Aikido Shugyo Dojo prides itself on providing a supportive and welcoming environment for individuals of all ages and skill levels to learn the art of Aikido. Chief instructor and Dojo-cho, Gabriel DiMarco, leads classes that focus on not only the physical techniques of Aikido, but also the mental and spiritual aspects of the practice. The dojo is a place where students can develop discipline, focus, and inner strength through the study of Aikido.
The dojo offers a variety of classes, including open-handed techniques, Aikido weapon training, and special workshops such as ukemi (falling) practice. Students have the opportunity to participate in testing days to demonstrate their progress and advancement in Aikido. In addition, the dojo hosts special events and seminars throughout the year with guest instructors from around the world.
Aikido Shugyo Dojo is conveniently located at 2203 Gerrard Street East in Toronto, making it easily accessible by public transit and car. The dojo is just a short walk from Main St. subway station and Danforth Go station, and is also accessible by streetcar and bus. Free street parking is available after 6 pm for those who drive to the dojo.
