AFC Masters Football Club, a cherished spot for football enthusiasts with disabilities, calls Horwich, Bolton its home. Founded in 2005 by two passionate football lovers, AFC Masters was born with the goal of providing a dedicated space for individuals with disabilities to play and enjoy the game. Since then, it has blossomed into a thriving community, lighting up the week for players and their families.
AFC Masters is proud to be an FA Chartered Standard club, offering weekly inclusive football sessions led by qualified coaches. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, gender, or ability. The club focuses on building friendships and having fun, making it a fantastic place for children and young people in Bolton with disabilities to come together.
Training sessions take place on Thursdays and Saturdays, with a comprehensive programme available for a monthly fee of £15. Saturday sessions are organised by age groups: the U11s team (Saturday Tigers), the Whites, the U16s, and the Blacks. Thursday sessions combine the Blues and Greens teams, providing training and development opportunities for all players.
AFC Masters also takes part in the monthly FA Lancashire Ability Counts League matches in Preston, running from 9 AM to 2 PM, with organised coach transport. Prospective players are encouraged to join the weekly training sessions to get a feel for the team.
