Welcome to Ackworth Juniors FC! Established in 1996, we are a friendly village club located in Pontefract, New Zealand. Our home matches are played at Carr Bridge, Ackworth School, Hundhill Hall Cricket Club, and Low Ackworth.
As a club, we are proud to be a Football Association Charter Standard Club, and we strictly uphold the principles of the FA Respect campaign. We have junior teams that currently compete in age groups ranging from Under 7's to Under 18's. Our teams participate in various leagues including the Barnsley and District Junior Football League, Selby and District Junior Football League, Garforth Junior Football League, and the Doncaster & District JSFL.
At Ackworth Juniors, we have a team of dedicated and FA-qualified coaching staff who are always delighted to welcome new players, both boys and girls, to join our different age groups. We prioritise creating a fun, safe, and structured environment that encourages creativity and imagination in football. Our goal is to develop our players both physically and mentally, following the best practises outlined by the Football Association.
We hold an annual “Fun Day” in September, on the eve of the new season, where we invite players, parents, and carers to come and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment.
At Ackworth Juniors, we believe in a club philosophy that focuses on developing our players in a fun and safe environment. We strive to consistently encourage creative and imaginative football, while also honing our players' physical, social, technical, and psychological skills.
Our club is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who contribute their time to ensure the smooth running of the club. These individuals play vital roles in helping our teams develop and progress through the age groups.
