Welcome to Ackworth Table Tennis Club, located in Pontefract, New Zealand. Ackworth Table Tennis Club is a prestigious Table Tennis England leading Club, officially registered in 2018. Prior to its official registration, the club operated under the “Table Tennis England Centre for Excellence” programme from 2016 to 2018.

While predominantly a junior table tennis club, Ackworth TTC offers opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels. The club's dedicated coaches provide coaching in schools throughout the local area, in addition to weekly evening sessions held at Ackworth School and Pontefract Squash Club. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn more about the game or an experienced player aiming to refine your skills, our coaching sessions cater to all.

In addition to regular training sessions, Ackworth TTC also offers coaching during school holidays at Ackworth School. Since its inception, Ackworth TTC has achieved great success. In its first season, the club secured victories in the Castleford and Pontefract Division 2, Leeds Summer League Division 2, and National Junior League Division 1. Our talented young players have also consistently achieved impressive results in various competitions, proudly bringing home numerous trophies.

For the 2019/20 season, Ackworth TTC has entered teams into several renowned competitions. These include one team in the Castleford and Pontefract League, three teams in the National Cadet League, two teams in the National Junior League, and one team in the Junior British League. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the club, and we are dedicated to producing players who can compete at the highest levels.

Ackworth Table Tennis Club is proud to be part of a nationwide network of Table Tennis England affiliated top Clubs. These clubs share a common goal of enhancing the player and volunteer experience, as well as increasing participation in the sport.
