The Willetton Cricket Club was formed in 1973, only ten days before the commencement of the 1973/74 South Suburban Cricket Association season. The club fielded one side in Seventh Grade and played their home matches at Woodford Park. Willetton were undefeated as they ran out tops.
This established a winning culture at the club with 21 premierships in Two Day and One Day cricket being won across a variety of grades.
