Wild About Agility Gold Coast is a sports club located in the beautiful Gold Coast, Queensland. Established in 2002, this not-for-profit organisation is run by volunteers who are dedicated to helping people train their dogs in a group setting. The club promotes positive training methods and provides a positive and fun environment for all participants.
WAAG offers training sessions on Monday nights at Country Paradise Parklands in Nerang. The first session begins at 6:00 pm and finishes at 7:30 pm, while the second session starts at 7:15 pm and ends at 8:30 pm. Training is available for dogs of all skill levels, from advanced to novice and beginners. The training fee is $10 per dog, and cashless payments are required.
In addition to regular training sessions, WAAG also hosts competitions throughout the year. The upcoming competitions for 2023 include a judging event on Saturday, April 22nd, starting at 10 am, a judging event on Saturday, July 29th, also at 10 am, and the WAAG Beginners Competition on Saturday, November 4th, with judging starting at 3 pm. The Beginners Competition is particularly suitable for those new to the sport or with inexperienced dogs. WAAG is proud to have LickiMat and Bunnings Warehouse as sponsors for the first-place prizes.
To become a member of WAAG, the annual membership fee is $40, which covers the period from July 1st to June 30th.
