Volleyball Queensland (VQ) is a not-for-profit, member-based organisation that aims to increase participation in all forms of volleyball throughout Queensland. Established in 1969, VQ is supported by 37 affiliated clubs and associations spanning from Cairns to the Gold Coast.
VQ provides volleyball opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels through their competitive, recreational, and school-based events. They organise tournaments, leagues, and events that cater to both experienced players and those new to the sport. As part of their commitment to promoting the sport of volleyball, VQ works closely with Volleyball Australia and other state and territory volleyball associations. Together, they strive to further the sport nationally and compete in Australian Championships for both beach and indoor volleyball.
Volleyball Queensland is governed by an elected Board of Management and generates financial resources through various activities, including competitions, leagues, feature events, and corporate partnerships. They also receive grant funding from the Queensland Government, which further supports their mission.

Their mission is to foster a volleyball community in Queensland that provides lifelong opportunities to engage with the sport.
