October to April, during which time we host fleet racing every Sunday. However, our club activities extend beyond the racing season, with sailing school programmes, holiday camps, and various social events throughout the year.
Established in 1939, Vaucluse Amateur 12ft Sailing Club has a rich heritage of teaching kids how to sail and fostering young champions. We are proud of our inclusive and community-oriented ethos, creating a welcoming and family-friendly environment for sailors of all ages and skill levels.
For those looking to learn how to sail, we offer sailing school programmes on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings during terms 4 and 1. We also have holiday camps available for those wanting an intensive learning experience. Our experienced instructors provide comprehensive training, ensuring that participants gain the necessary skills and confidence on the water.
Fleet racing is a popular option for more experienced sailors. We have three fleets to choose from: single-handed Sabots, two-up in Flying Elevens, and the occasionally more challenging Cherub fleet. Fleet racing takes place on Sundays from October to April, providing exciting competition and camaraderie among club members.
Beyond sailing, Vaucluse Amateur 12ft Sailing Club is an active and engaged community. We host social events, such as member dinners and post-regatta BBQs, where members can connect and enjoy each other's company. We also provide opportunities for volunteers to get involved and contribute to the success of the club.
Keep up with the latest news and updates from the club by following us on Instagram or subscribing to our newsletter, “Kutti News. ” Our website provides additional information on membership, fees, race results, and the club calendar.
