University of Western Australia Volleyball Club

The University of Western Australia Volleyball Club (UWAVC) is a well-established sports club located in Perth, Western Australia. The club aims to promote and develop the sport of volleyball amongst its members, providing opportunities for both social and competitive play.

Most junior teams are run through schools, such as Perth Modern and Christ Church Grammar, so interested students are advised to gather enough players for a team and approach their school's Physical Education department. If there are no affiliations with affiliated schools, the club can explore the possibility of affiliating with the student's high school if there is enough interest. Alternatively, UWAVC can attempt to place the student in a team, although this may not always be possible due to limited resources.

WAVL, the Western Australian Volleyball League, is the official indoor league organised by Volleyball Western Australia (VWA) and offers the highest level of indoor volleyball in the state. WAVL consists of both men's and women's leagues, with divisions ranging from State League to Divisions 1-4. UWAVC typically has teams in all divisions. Most games are held on Sundays, with a few taking place on Friday nights.

Venues such as Loftus Recreation Centre, Warwick Stadium, Cockburn ARC, and The Rise are commonly used for WAVL games. Additionally, individual clubs host home rounds throughout the year for State League and State League Reserve teams, typically held at night.
