Welcome to Townsville Picnic Bay Surf Life Saving Club! As an integral part of Townsville's community, we are dedicated to providing voluntary lifesavers in order to keep our beaches safe. We tirelessly patrol the beaches at The Strand in Townsville and Picnic Bay on Magnetic Island.
Our club is built on strong traditional values that contribute to our success. We not only teach lifesaving skills and first aid, but also encourage surf sports involvement and community engagement. Established in 1927, Townsville Picnic Bay Surf Life Saving Club has been recognised for its dedication and commitment to its members, earning the title of North Barrier Branch Club of the Year in 2014/15.
We take great pride in fostering our young lifesavers and developing them into future leaders, both within our club and in the wider community. We are a family-oriented club, prioritising professionalism, sportsmanship, mateship, and pride.
At Townsville Picnic Bay Surf Life Saving Club, we offer a range of services and opportunities. We also take the safety of our members seriously and provide information on our Blue Card monitoring and safety procedures.

For those interested in our facilities, our supporters club, The Surf Club, offers venue hire from Monday to Saturday for various occasions. Our venue provides a private function room with a private bar and a spacious entertainers deck with breathtaking views of Burke St Headland and Magnetic Island.
