The Tennis Guru, established in 2002, is a sports club located in Melbourne, Australia. The club operates a highly acclaimed tennis programme at various venues including Warrandyte Tennis Club, South Warrandyte, St. Mary's Tennis Club (Greensborough), and St. Mary's Primary School.
Additionally, The Tennis Guru offers school programmes at several local schools such as St. Thomas PS, Apollop Parkways PS, Greenhills PS, Greensborough PS, Milgate PS, and Anderson Creek PS.
The Tennis Guru specialises in coaching programmes for all ages, starting from 3 years old to adults. They also host special events such as Holiday Clinics and Holiday Tournaments. The coaches at The Tennis Guru are experienced and passionate individuals who have been registered by Tennis Coaches Australia. They all possess current Working With Children Checks and National Police Checks, ensuring the safety of all participants. Additionally, the coaches have completed the Tennis Australia Child Safety Course and most are First Aid Qualified.
The Tennis Guru's head coach, Craig Haslam, brings 35 years of coaching experience to the table. He holds the title of Tennis Australia – Club Professional Coach and is also a Tennis Australia Pilot Coach for Hot Shots and Cardio Tennis. Craig has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and is a former ATP Satellite Player and US College Tennis Player.
Other members of the coaching team include Alistair Tudor, Jack Taylor, Heidi Olynyk, Leigh Haslam, Daniel Amato, Jarryd Wildsmith, Angus Davey, and Luci Ford. Each coach brings their own expertise and qualifications to ensure a well-rounded coaching experience for all participants.
