The Sunshine Coast Cricket Association Inc. (SCCA) is a unique sports organisation located in the Sunshine Coast region of Australia. The SCCA manages local cricket competitions with 16 affiliated clubs, as well as seven representative teams that compete in the QLD premier Cricket Competitions. These representative teams play under the banner of the Sunshine Coast Scorchers and participate in the 1st and 2nd Grade Men’s and Women’s, U19 Male, U16 Male, and U15 Female competitions against other top Cricket Clubs.
The Sunshine Coast Cricket Association also has junior representative teams that compete under the Sunshine Coast Scorchers banner. These teams consist of boys aged U12 to U16 and girls aged U13 and U15, and they have the opportunity to participate in cricket carnivals throughout South-East Queensland.
The geographical region covered by the SCCA spans from Burpengary in the south to Gympie in the north, and it includes a total of 16 affiliated clubs. These clubs are Burpengary, Caboolture, Wamuran-Stanley Rivers, Glasshouse, Landsborough, Maleny, Caloundra, Maroochydore, Palmwoods, Nambour, USC, Yandina, Coolum, Cooroy-Eumundi, Tewantin-Noosa, and Gympie.
With over 2340 players competing on a weekly basis, Sunshine Coast cricket is highly popular and attracts both players and sponsors. The SCCA offers opportunities for individuals of all ages and skill levels to participate in cricket, whether it be at a local level or within the leading Cricket Competitions.
