Enjoying themselves. We highly recommend SP Tennis & Paediatric Wellness to any Early Learning Centre looking to provide quality and engaging tennis lessons to their children.
St Peters Tennis Club is a sports club located in Adelaide, Australia. With a strong commitment to cultivating champions and empowering young athletes, the club aims to help children reach their full potential through tennis and paediatric wellness programmes.
Since its establishment, St Peters Tennis Club has been dedicated to providing the best co-curricular activities for children, ensuring they eagerly look forward to each week. The club's high-quality lessons are designed to accelerate physical development, allowing all children to progress and acquire a versatile skillset before entering school.
At St Peters Tennis Club, versatility, and innovation are highly valued. Each week, the club focuses on different skills to keep the kids engaged and challenge them in a supportive and fun environment. The desired outcomes of the club's programmes extend beyond tennis skills, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. These outcomes include fostering self-esteem, confidence, and a sense of belonging; promoting physical and emotional health, resilience, and self-care; encouraging curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning; empowering confident expression, active listening, and effective communication skills; and building connexions with families, coaches, and the community, promoting responsibility and citizenship.
The club's programmes are specifically designed for children between the ages of 3 and 5. With the dedication of the club's exceptional coaches, children in this age group have achieved competency at Red Ball & Orange Ball levels. St Peters Tennis Club is confident that they will continue to help many little athletes exceed expectations and have a competitive advantage before their tennis sessions at their new school or out in the community.
For 3-year-old pre-kindergarten classes, the club's lessons incorporate extra gross motor skills and physical exercises. Once the children turn 4 years old, they transition into the tennis programmes. Structured activities and games help children practise and develop their tennis skills, with difficulty gradually increasing over time. Cooperative play activities encourage social interaction, teamwork, and communication.
The lessons conclude with a cool-down period to promote flexibility and prevent muscle soreness.
The club offers different programmes based on age groups. The Red Ball programme is beginner-friendly, using a larger and low-bounce red ball and kid-sized courts for easy play. The Orange Ball programme is for children aged 8 to 10, progressing from Red Ball with a higher and faster ball bounce and slightly larger court. The Green Ball programme is for children aged 9 and older, played on a full-size court with another increase in ball speed and bounce.
The St Peters Tennis Club has received positive feedback from their partners at Edge Early Learning Pimpama. Miss Kushla and Miss Sarah, from Edge Early Learning Pimpama, highly recommend the club's coaching team. They have witnessed the children in Kindergarten develop their physical, social, and emotional skills through challenging ball skills. The team at SP Tennis & Paediatric Wellness are excellent communicators and dedicated to ensuring that all children have the opportunity to participate and learn new skills while enjoying themselves.

With their high-quality lessons and commitment to holistic growth, the club aims to develop well-rounded individuals equipped with essential life skills beyond the tennis court. They provide programmes for children aged 3 to 5, helping them excel in tennis and prepare for future tennis sessions at school or in the community.
