St. George Scuba Club

St. George Scuba Club is Sydney's largest independent dive club, founded in 1973 and run by and for its members. The club prides itself on being friendly and active, with a strong emphasis on safety and ensuring a memorable diving experience for all members.

The club organises a wide range of diving activities, both locally and internationally. In 2022, members had the opportunity to join trips to destinations such as Lord Howe Island, Townsville, Indonesia, Wooli, Ulladulla, and South West Rocks. Additionally, the club regularly arranges trips to various diving locations within New South Wales. The upcoming year of 2023 promises even more exciting dive trips, including visits to Wooli, South West Rocks, Narooma, Cape York (Great Barrier Reef), and Nelson Bay.

The Boys and Girls Weekends, as well as special boat dive days out of Botany Bay, are also highly anticipated events on the club's calendar.

In addition to the dive trips, St. George Scuba Club holds weekly boat and shore dives, providing members with opportunities to explore the diverse underwater landscapes of Sydney and its surrounding areas. These regular dives allow members to further enhance their diving skills and build connexions within the diving community.

To become a member of St. George Scuba Club, individuals can attend the club's monthly meetings held on the third Tuesday of every month at the Ramsgate RSL Club. The meetings provide a great opportunity to meet fellow divers, learn more about the club's activities, and get involved in the diving community.
