Welcome to the Southern Tablelands Gliding Club Inc (STGC), located just over an hour north of Canberra, and only two hours south of Sydney. STGC offers a unique gliding experience at an affordable price, making it perfect for those who wish to learn to fly a glider or those seeking a wonderful glide.
Nestled in the beautiful grazing country, STGC is generously hosted by Lockyersleigh Homestead at Lockyersleigh Field, about 20 km NE of Goulburn. Operating from a grass strip, the club has been a hub for gliding since 1971.
One of the few gliding clubs in Australia that offer winch launches, STGC provides training in dual-controlled twin-seat aircraft by qualified instructors. Cross-country flying opportunities are available, allowing pilots to explore the stunning surrounding area.
Visitors are warmly welcomed at STGC, including glider pilots from other clubs and individuals interested in Air Experience Flights. The club also caters to groups who seek a day of exclusive gliding. Prior to visiting, we encourage everyone to read the visitor's guide and check the flying schedules.
Passenger flights are available as Air Experience Flights, where individuals can enjoy the thrill of gliding with a fully qualified instructor. These flights make excellent gifts for family and friends of all ages.
