Welcome to the Southern Districts Rifle Club Inc. Founded in 1982, the Southern Districts Rifle Club (SDRC) is a highly reputable sports club in Perth, Australia. Over the years, SDRC has established itself as a prominent figure in the world of competition target shooting, excelling not only locally but also at state and national levels.
At SDRC, members can participate in a range of rifle and handgun target shooting competitions, all organised through our comprehensive Calendar of Events. These competitions primarily take place on weekends, allowing members to actively engage in their passion while balancing their professional and personal commitments.
With over 200 members, SDRC is a diverse and inclusive community. We warmly welcome individuals of all ages and backgrounds, with memberships open to juniors and adults alike. Our club facilities are designed to accommodate both male and female competitors, and we have made special provisions for disabled individuals, including dedicated parking, accessible restrooms, and wheelchair access to our main 200m range firing line.
In addition to our world-class shooting facilities, SDRC boasts excellent clubrooms that provide convenient amenities such as a canteen and a restricted licenced bar. This ensures that members can relax and socialise in a comfortable and welcoming environment, enhancing the overall sporting experience.
Safety is the foundation of everything we do at SDRC. Our top priority is to ensure the well-being of our members and guests. All of our events are managed and supervised by experienced and qualified range personnel, who hold current working with children cards. Furthermore, we have implemented meticulous policies and procedures to guarantee the safe and correct operation of our sport.
Prospective members who share our passion for target shooting must complete our structured training programme. This programme equips them with the necessary knowledge and skills to participate in target shooting safely and confidently. SDRC also provides a range of firearms for use by prospective and new members, allowing them to explore different options before making a personal investment.
