At our beautiful farm on the border of Victoria and NSW we offer a huge variety of exciting and educational activities for students of all ages!
Come and join us in the heart of the legendary Man from Snowy River country.
Animal integration: all our groups can enjoy the first time they meet a friendly deer and wombat, play with our three wonderful dogs, feed and cuddle our loving Damara pet sheep, groom a horse for the first time and perhaps go riding over our rolling hills.
Schools / Youth Groups: A wide range of challenging and adventurous activities, which are fun, educational, and safe. We cater to schools from both Victoria and New South Wales.
Families: The chance for adults and children to enjoy a truly memorable holiday, full of enjoyment, adventure and new experiences.
Religious Groups: Peace and solitude in a lovely rural setting, with an individually tailored programme of rewarding activities.
Snowy River Camp is in sunny North East Victoria, in the scenic Tallangatta Valley amid the foothills of the Great Dividing Range. A variety of domesticated farm & native animals mix freely with guests in our large, landscaped garden.
Mild sunny days; warm, balmy evenings and chilly nights.
We enjoy 1000 hours more sunshine than Melbourne!
• FUN!
These are instructed by fully qualified Snowy River staff.
Firstly, you’ll learn to groom and saddle your own horse.
To build your confidence we have a full size dressage arena (with speakers).
You’ll then ride out with Snowy River Camp instructors over the open hills around the surrounding farmland.
The views are spectacular!
Our horses are gentle and experienced, and safe for beginners of all ages from Year Three (8 years old) upwards.
Teachers or group leaders can run these, or we can provide staff to instruct sessions as required.
Please ask for a separate list of suggested nighttime activities…….
These are available (sometimes limited by the time of year), on request.
We have 82 beds. Most are bunk beds, but we also provide single and double beds in private rooms for teachers / couples.
Camping groups can pitch their tents on the shores of our beautiful 12-acre lake. In inclement weather, the sports stadium can be used as an alternative venue for tents.
Food, Glorious Food!
You’ll need hearty meals while you’re here, and that’s just what we provide! From succulent roast dinners to good ol’ Aussie barbecues, our menu options are designed to be healthy, plentiful, and delicious.
