The Shire of Leonora is proud to be a part of this vibrant community. With a population of 774 dwellings as of 2015, we strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for both residents and visitors. Our town is located 832 km northeast of Perth, making it a hub for mining, exploration, and the pastoral industry.
One of the highlights of our town is the extensive trail system. These trails showcase the resourcefulness and tenacity of early gold prospectors and miners, as well as the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Visitors can explore the Darlot Loop, the Heritage Trail, and the Agnew Loop, each offering a unique perspective on the history and landscapes of the Shire of Leonora.
Not only do we have a rich history and stunning natural landscapes, but we also have a strong community spirit. The Shire of Leonora hosts various events throughout the year, including the Leonora Women's Circle and the School Holiday Programme. These events bring residents together and provide opportunities for connexion and fun.
