Scuba diving is a type of underwater diving wherein divers use a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus, which allows them to breath underwater without needing to surface. Scuba divers carry their own breathing gas, usually compressed gas, allowing them greater independence and freedom of movement than surface-supplied divers.
