Oakleigh Motorcycle Club (OMCC) is a sports club located in Melbourne, Australia. The club is dedicated to promoting and supporting the sport of motorcycle racing, particularly in the disciplines of trials and juniors training.
OMCC is proud to be affiliated with Motorcycling Australia (MA), which allows them to provide training for competition licences. They have two official MA coaches, Justin and Stan, who lead training sessions for members and welcome others to join by becoming day members. The training sessions are free for members and focus on developing riders of all skill levels. Expert rider Zachary also contributes to the training sessions, helping to push more advanced juniors and assist with their development.
In addition to training sessions, OMCC organises various events and competitions throughout the year. They recently hosted the 5th and final round of the 2023 Victorian Trials Series, held at one of their favourite properties on the banks of the Barwon River. The trial saw around 70 entrants, and the OMCC team worked together with section setters, volunteer observers, event officials, scorers, and more to ensure its success. The club also hosted a fundraising BBQ during the event to support the TdN campaign.
OMCC is committed to nurturing young riders and offers kids training programmes. With their affiliation to Motorcycling Australia, they are now able to provide their own juniors KICK START training to help children on their way to obtaining a competition licence. The club has two dedicated Motorcycling Australia Club Coaches to lead these training programmes and guide young riders towards their goals.
