North Adelaide School Football (SASFA) is a sports club based in Adelaide, South Australia. It is part of the South Australian School Football Association (SASFA) and operates similarly to any other football competition. The club provides opportunities for both boys and girls to play football, allowing them to enjoy the sport with their friends and make new ones along the way.
One of the primary objectives of SASFA is to promote fitness and overall health among its participants while having fun. Unlike other competitions, there is less pressure to win, and everyone is given a fair and equal opportunity to play. SASFA caters to those who may not be able to participate at club level for various reasons, ensuring that they can still be involved in the sport they love.
The competition takes place on Saturdays and is divided into three age groups: 2/3's, 4/5's, and 6/7's. In order to keep growing and improving, SASFA is constantly seeking more schools and teams to join the competition. If you are interested in learning more about SASFA or joining this exciting competition, please do not hesitate to contact NAFC.
North Adelaide School Football is closely associated with the North Adelaide Football Club (NAFC), which is a proud member of the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Founded in 1893, NAFC has a rich history and has won thirteen premierships and produced sixteen Magarey Medallists. The club supports grassroots football from under 13’s to seniors and is dedicated to promoting and developing the sport at all levels.
NAFC is actively involved in the community and engages with approximately 15,000 children in 54 schools through coaching clinics. Additionally, they organise kick-to-kick competitions involving around 2,000 children and rely on the support of 200 dedicated volunteers. The club also runs special squad programmes for under 13's, under 14's, and under 15's. Furthermore, NAFC facilitates a 9-a-side competition for year 2–7 students with the participation of 30 teams and 12 schools, as well as a primary school competition with 25 teams from 10 schools.
