Murdoch University Rowing Club is a vibrant and active sports club based in Perth, Western Australia. Situated on the stunning Swan & Canning Rivers, the club boasts a rowing shed on The Esplanade in Mount Pleasant.
At Murdoch University Rowing Club, we offer a diverse range of rowing options to cater to members of all skill levels and experience. Our club is proud to host “Learn to Row” courses, providing beginners with the opportunity to learn the basics of rowing and develop their skills under the guidance of experienced coaches. From there, members can progress through Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, and Master levels, engaging in both recreational and competitive rowing.
For those interested in competition, our club participates in regattas throughout the season at various locations including Champion Lakes, Albany, Bunbury, and Canning Bridge. We also organise longer distance “Perth to Fremantle” and “Guildford to Garratt Road” Head Races for those seeking a greater challenge.
Not only do our members enjoy the physical benefits of rowing, but they also appreciate the social aspect of our club. Social rowers have the opportunity to join others on Saturday mornings for beautiful group rows on the river, followed by a well-deserved coffee and breakfast at the nearby Ci5 Café.
