For the past thirty years Mt Stuart Primary School students have played soccer as part of West Hobart Junior Soccer Club. This club has consisted of students from three local primary schools, Lansdowne Crescent, Goulburn St and Mt Stuart. Wolf Von Gehr has been its fearless leader doing an incredible job by intially forming the club with only forty players in the inaugural season and then growing it close to 400 junior players. Last year Wolf decided to start his retirement plan and began by handing back Mt Stuart and Goulburn St, so they could play under their own school colours.
2014 sees 19 Mt Stuart teams participating in the CRJSA Competition for the first time – this equates to 153 players, almost half the schools students.
