Mosman Croquet Club - Advanced

The Club has four full sized croquet courts and a half-sized practice court. All lawns are individually placed on different levels for maximum concentration and enjoyment of play. The club house overlooks Balmoral in a peaceful setting free from traffic noise. The Club is available for corporate and social functions, and has a reputation for providing an ambience for a very relaxing and enjoyable event, with many clients returning year after year. We charge $30 per person (minimum), plus $30 per coach. Having a coach is necessary to provide guidance and instruction throughout the games for maximum enjoyment. Our equipment (eg hoops, mallets and balls) are to international standard. Our only requirement is that guests wear flat soled shoes to preserve the integrity of the lawns. If it is sunny we recommend that people wear hats and bring sunscreen. As the mallet is swung between the legs, ladies may find that long skirts are an encumbrance and they may be better off with comfortable slacks or shorts. Please note the Club is not licensed, however guests are welcome to supply their own food and alcohol. We recommend a buffet, which enables people to move freely, play games, socialise at the clubhouse, and go back for another game etc. We have hosted many functions, and find this to be the most successful format. The Club has plates, cutlery, wine glasses and tumblers for use, if required. Drinks are set up on the verandah within easy access of players. We have a large refrigerator and an esky, but suggest you bring a couple of eskies and bags of ice. We are very relaxed if you wish to take a glass of wine or a bottle of beer onto the lawns during play, provided they are hand held and not placed on the lawns. They may, however, be placed on the ground outside the court area.
