Mordialloc Gymnastics

Mordialloc Gymnastics, a sports club located in Melbourne, is a part of the Mordialloc Community Centre and has been serving the community since 1964. With over 3000 community members passing through its doors each week, Mordialloc Gymnastics offers a range of programmes for children of all ages and skill levels.

The Gymnastics programme at Mordialloc Gymnastics aims to provide children with skills through a variety of apparatus in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The programme is designed to cater to children who are interested in participating recreationally, as well as those who aspire to compete at a higher level.

All children who participate in the Gymnastics programme are registered with the peak body Gymnastics Victoria, and annual fees are in addition to class fees. Classes are held once a week, unless it is a squad class. Gymnasts also have the option to join a squad class, but this is by invitation only.

For children aged 5–6 years, there is a Beginners class that is one hour long. The Junior class, for children aged 7–9 years, is 1. 5 hours long, while the Intermediate class for children aged 10–12 years is 2 hours long. The Advanced class, for children aged 13 and above, is 2.

5 hours long.

Mordialloc Gymnastics also offers Kindy Gym classes, which are aimed at developing a child's balance, coordination, fine and gross motor skills through fun activities involving movement to music and games, using soft shapes and gymnastic equipment. Parent participation is required for children aged 1–4 years, with classes running for either 45 minutes or 1 hour, depending on the age group.

The club also allows for trial classes in all kindy gym classes, at a cost of $10, provided there are places available. However, booking a trial class does not guarantee a place, as popular classes may book out prior to attending the trial.
