To the Activities Officer after each walk. The Treasurer manages the Club's finances, including membership fees, accommodation fees, and other revenue streams. The Membership Officer is responsible for managing membership applications, renewals, and inquiries. The Executive Committee meets monthly to discuss Club business and make decisions on behalf of the membership.

The Club also holds an Annual General Meeting where members have the opportunity to contribute to the running of the Club and vote on important matters.

The Melbourne Walking Club has a long and rich history, with members who are passionate about recreational walking and the conservation of natural heritage. Walks organised by the Club range from easy metropolitan walks to more challenging bush walks. There are opportunities for extended walking and camping activities, as well as occasional bike rides, bus trips, and cycling weekends. The Club owns a modern ski lodge on Mt Buller, which is available for members and their guests to enjoy during the winter and summer seasons. The lodge offers comfortable accommodation and a great base for exploring the surrounding alpine region. Members also have access to a bush hut located in a tranquil setting, providing a rustic and peaceful experience in the bush.

The Melbourne Walking Club welcomes new members and visitors who are interested in joining a bushwalking club.
