Manly Savers Rugby Club, formerly known as Manly Surf Rugby, has a rich history that dates back to 1909. The earliest written proof of its establishment can be found in the programme for the Reunion Ball held in 1919, where it was referred to as Manly Surf Rugby A. D 1909. The club has strong ties to the Manly Surf and Life Saving Club, with members playing in local teams long before the formal establishment of Savers Rugby.

Savers Rugby trains at Keirle Park at 6. 15pm throughout the rugby season. During Daylight Savings months, the team plays beach touch rugby at the end of the Corso at the same time.
