Centre, a state-of-the-art facility located in Mandurah. We also swim at Doddi's Beach in Halls Head for open water training sessions. Both locations offer beautiful surroundings and excellent amenities for our members.
At Mandurah Mannas, we welcome individuals who are 18 years or older and have a passion for swimming. Whether you can only swim one lap or you compete in pool or open water events, we have a place for you. Our club provides a supportive and friendly environment where you can improve your swimming skills, make new friends, and have fun.
Our training sessions are held on Tuesdays from 10:30am to 11:45am, Thursdays from 6:00pm to 7:15pm, and Saturdays from 3:30pm to 4:30pm at the Mandurah Aquatic & Recreation Centre. For those who prefer open water swimming, we also offer sessions at Doddi's Beach on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings from 8:00am to 9:00am.
The Mandurah Masters Swimming Club, which started in 1993, is the foundation of Mandurah Mannas. From its humble beginnings with six members, it has grown to over 50 members within three years. Our club is a reflection of the local need and desire to bring people together for fitness and fun through swimming.
We cater to a diverse range of swimmers, including pool swimmers, open water swimmers, and triathletes. While some members participate in competitions, many simply swim for enjoyment and fitness. It's important to note that the term “Masters” only means that you're over the age of 18, and all skill levels are welcome.
By joining Mandurah Mannas, you'll have access to a range of benefits. Our club offers regular coaching and training sessions led by accredited coaches, club swims, and social functions. We also organise pool and open water competitions, where you can challenge yourself and celebrate personal achievements.
Swimming is not just exercise; it's a way to improve your overall well-being. It enhances lung capacity, blood pressure, muscle tone, and posture. It also provides a relaxing escape from the pressures of daily life. If motivation is a challenge for you, being part of a club like Mandurah Mannas can help you stay motivated by swimming and encouraging one another.
Don't let the misconception that you're not a good enough swimmer discourage you from joining. We have members who have made incredible progress in their swimming journey. Linda's story and Paul's journey from learning to swim 100m to completing the Busselton Half Ironman swim are inspiring examples of the possibilities within our club.
Join Mandurah Mannas and experience a supportive and welcoming environment where you can swim, train, and socialise with like-minded individuals. We look forward to welcoming you to our swimming family!
