Lacrosse is a contact sport that is played in teams on a grass field where players use only their stick to catch, pass and score. The aim is to get the ball into the opponent’s goal and score points. Lacrosse is played in quarters with only 10 players from each team on the field at one time. The game originated in North America and has been played in Australia since 1876.
