Isis Flying Club

Located at the junction of the Bruce and Isis Highways, the township of Childers lies 325 km (202 miles) north of Brisbane and 52 km (32 miles) south-west of Bundaberg.

The club and aerodrome (albeit basic) is situated on Aerodrome Rd and can be found just off the Bruce Highway, 7 km south of the township.

Owned by the Bundaberg Regional Council, Childers Aerodrome is operated under lease by the Isis Flying Club and is worth highlighting that no landing fees apply.

Designated 10 / 28, a single 1000m grass strip provides ample take-off and landing real estate for light aircraft while a total of 14 hangars (and a clubhouse) provide shelter and security for the pride-n-joy of local operators. Additionally, it is reported that space has been reserved for the construction of additional hangars if required.
