HistoryShooting in the Childers district has a long-standing history, with the Childers Rifle Club meeting at a range in Cordalba as early as 1918. Later, a range was established at the current site in Horton, approximately 7 km from the Childers township. The Isis District Small Bore Rifle Club was established after 1950. The introduction of pistol shooting in 1999 resulted in a significant increase in club membership, leading to the club being renamed the Childers Rifle & Pistol Club.
Today, our club has over 150 members and continues to grow. We are dedicated to expanding our facilities and the number of events we organise to cater to the needs and interests of our members.
AffiliationsChilders Rifle & Pistol Club is proudly affiliated with Pistol Shooting Queensland and Queensland Target Sports. Through these affiliations, we are connected to Pistol Australia, Target Rifle Australia, and Shooting Australia.
