The Berri Swimming Pool, as it was formally known was originally built as a war memorial back in the 60s and has been home for many talented swimmers including Australian swimmer Hayden Stoeckel.
The pool was renamed the Hayden Stoeckel Swimming Pool following the swimmer's bronze backstroke medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
Aside from public swimming the pool is used for VacSwim programmes, School Carnivals, Learn to Swim Programmes, Inter-town Swimming Competitions, and Club Training.
