Welcome to the Halliwick Penguins Swimming Club, the first Halliwick swimming club in the world! Located in Sydney, Australia, we are a voluntary swimming club that caters to disabled people of all ages and disabilities. Our club teaches water safety and promotes independence in the water using the Halliwick Concept. We are a registered charity with the Charity Commission for England & Wales and affiliated with the Halliwick Association of Swimming Therapy.
At Halliwick Penguins, our main aim is to provide a safe and friendly environment for disabled individuals to learn and practise swimming. We believe that swimming is an essential life skill that should be accessible to everyone. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced swimmer, our dedicated instructors are trained to meet your specific needs and help you achieve your swimming goals.
We offer a variety of swimming programmes tailored to different levels of ability and experience. Our sessions cover a range of skills and techniques, from water safety and basic swimming strokes to more advanced training and competitive swimming. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive community where all members feel comfortable and empowered in the water.
Throughout the year, we organise various club events and activities to encourage social interaction and camaraderie among our members. These include swimming competitions, social outings, and educational workshops. We also participate in external swimming events and championships, giving our members the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete at a higher level.
If you are interested in joining the Halliwick Penguins Swimming Club or have any questions, we would love to hear from you.
